What is Palliative Care?

 You may have heard of a new medical term— Palliative Care. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve the overall quality of life for both the patient and the family. Currently, these programs serve more than 1 million patients and their families each year.

How Can I Get Started?

If you suffer from pain or other symptoms due to a serious illness, we can help. These illnesses include, but are not limited to:

What Can I Expect?

With our Palliative care team, you can expect an in-home visit from a providers such as a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, certified nursing aide (CNA), social worker, therapy team and/or spiritual services to address:

  • Pain

  • Anxiety

  • Shortness of Breath

  • Fatigue

  • Constipation

  • Nausea

  • Loss of Appetite

  • Difficulty Sleeping
